Who we are
MSCM Studios is a brand of W Tech Media Sdn Bhd (company number 202101024296 / 1424596-T), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. W Tech Media Sdn Bhd is the data controller for everything described on this page, and handles personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended).
What we collect when you enquire
If you send an enquiry through the contact form we collect your name, company, email address, country, website, your social profile if you give one, what you sell, what you need, where you sell today, and anything you write in the message.
We also record how you reached us: the page that referred you, the page you landed on, and any campaign tags or click identifiers in the address you arrived through.
What we collect through our growth snapshot and invoice forms
If you ask for a growth snapshot we collect your name, business name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, TikTok Shop handle, and your answers to our qualifying questions: industry, how long you have been operating, monthly sales range, growth budget, where you are with TikTok Shop and, if you give it, your monthly ad spend. We also record your consent, your marketing preference and, if you arrived from a Google ad, the click identifier Google adds to the address.
If you request an invoice we collect your business name, contact person, contact and billing email addresses, phone or WhatsApp number, business registration number (BRN), SST number, tax identification number (TIN), billing address, any notes you add, and the time you accepted our Terms of Purchase.
The link to your personalised report carries your name, business name and some of your answers in the web address, so the page can show your report. Treat it like any personal link and do not forward it if you would rather those details stayed private.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and to take the steps you have asked us to take before any agreement between us. We also use it to understand which of our marketing brings us enquiries, which is our legitimate interest in running the business. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.
For the growth snapshot and invoice forms we use your details to prepare and send your report, arrange a call, issue your invoice and deliver what you buy. We rely on the consent you give with the checkbox on the growth snapshot form, and you can withdraw it at any time. We only send occasional tips and offers if you tick the separate marketing box.
Where it goes
Enquiries are emailed to our team and stored in our customer relationship system, Zoho CRM, on servers operated by Zoho. Our website is hosted by our web host, and standard server logs including your IP address are kept for security and diagnostics. Some of these providers operate outside your country, which means your information may be transferred and stored elsewhere.
Growth snapshot and invoice requests are sent to Zoho Flow and Zoho CRM, and we may contact you about them by email or WhatsApp.
Cookies and measurement
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how the site is used – which pages people read, how they arrived, and which enquiries came from which campaign. We also use advertising and measurement tags from the platforms we advertise on, which may include TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn and Google. These set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and record a conversion when you reach our thank-you page after sending an enquiry, or when you complete our growth snapshot or invoice forms.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, loaded the same way. It records how visitors scroll, click and move through our pages, so we can see where a page is confusing and fix it.
Separately, and without cookies, the site keeps the campaign information described above in your browser’s session storage for the length of your visit. It is discarded when you close the tab.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site or sending an enquiry.
Fonts
This site loads typeface from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your IP address is visible to Google as part of that request.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted. Where we go on to work together, we keep what we need for the length of that engagement and for as long afterwards as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it, or ask for a copy of it. Email hello@mscm.my and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the European Union and you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
